SICILY. Tauromenion. Circa 304-289 BC. 4 Litrai or Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.20 g, 6 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right; behind, star. Rev. TAYPOME-NITAN Tripod with three ring handles, ornamental volutes below the bowl and legs ending in lion's paws; above to left, monogram of API. BAR Issue 11 (same dies as illustration). SNG ANS 1122-3 (same dies). Beautifully toned and of fine early Hellenistic style. About extremely fine.
